Juninho back in English football?

Hull target Juninho, yes I said Juninho, was extremely impressed with the club after meeting with Paul Duffen (who headed a consortium who bought out the club last month) and manager Phil Brown over the weekend.

Juninho, a free agent following his departure from Flamengo in May, famously signed for Middlesbrough for the first time in 1995 and played in two cup finals with them in 1997, when Boro were starting out their Premiership adventure. His agent, Jonathan Hassall said:

Juninho was very impressed with what Phil said and they seemed to share the same philosophies about the game.

That’s important to Juninho because he needs to know where his role would be in the team.

Obviously no-one has a right to start every game but it is important that he plays for somebody who plays football in the right way. Again, Hull seem to fit the bill in that respect.

Keep a check on www.thefc100.wordpress.com to find out whether the transfer goes through, before the end of the week. (we’re all crossing our fingers in the hope that it does).
