Sky have announced the first fixtures to be aired live from the Premiership this season for August till November. First up at 12.45 on Saturday, August the 11th is….(drum roll here)…..Spurs Vs Sunderland. Seems the idea of seeing Roy Keane back in the Premiership as a manager was too much to pass over for the sky boys. To be fair, we’ll be sitting in front of the tv counting down the minutes regardless if the game so Spurs-Sunderland seems a terrific prospect. Interestingly though, Man Utd V Sunderland, the return of Keane to Old Trafford, Ferguson the mentor V Keane the model pupil, Nyron Nosworthy V Cristiano Ronaldo, the list goes on, that one doesn’t make the live list. We assume Setanta (joint owners of the live rights this season) have spent most of their budget on securing that one, and rightly so.

Any newsof 2008 fixtures ?
We’re working on them Anthony and when they’re released we’ll be sure to put them up, I would imagine early next week sometime.
Should there be a Salary Cap in Football?
Personally I think there should be! It’s just getting to be stupid money in football at the top of the premiership!
It’s always the same teams at the top proving that football success is based purely on money which ruins the idea of it being a sport! They’ve done it in rugby, basketball, hockey and American football and it makes the sports more competitive and better to watch!
I do a little Football Betting Online from time to time and most matches don’t hold much surprise who is going to win, its boring! I want to see a team at the bottom pulling off an amazing season beating last seasons winners in a close fought battle!
Make things fair! It shouldn’t be about money!
